Hear ye, hear ye!

Hi all!

I’m back with another news update! So, this Sunday, the 13th of April, and since I’m fairly late in updating the site with this first item, it might be a pressing matter – or maybe not, who knows? Time will tell!

What I’m referring to right now, is that Tranquilizer, the lovely and weird short film I starred in, and went to the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival with last year, is out and about in public!
Yes, ’tis true. The Danish film magazine EKKO has an online shortlist for short films, and two weeks ago (I said I’m late in updating, didn’t I?) Tranquilizer was a contestant to get on said list. Well, not only did we make it onto said list, but we made it straight into first place on it! And – wait for it – the first position was held for this week as well!
The whole team is incredibly grateful and humble for the support our film has gotten so far.

So, why might this be a pressing matter? The list is updated every Monday, so if we don’t make it on to next week, today is the final chance you have to watch Tranquilizer on said list.
The way it works is, you can watch and vote for your favourite film (hopefully ours). There is a bar of stars underneath the video at the site, and you click on the amount of stars you want to give the film, 1-6, where 6 is the highest score.
You can vote once each day, if that is your fancy, and you don’t need a profile, log in, or anything like that to play along.

As I understand it, there is a limit of 13 weeks you can stay on the list, and if your film performed well enough, it’ll be invited to the EKKO Shortfilm Awards ceremony, which is held once a year. More on that later, if and when it becomes relevant, ha ha!

For now, for your viewing pleasure, here’s Tranquilizer!

There’s also news in the world of podcasting!

I is for Investigate is between seasons, as you know, and to tie over the gap, they’re releasing some stand-alone episodes, collectively called Dagon epilogues.
The first one, What’s in a name?, is already out in the public, and there are more to come.

Interestingly, I’m not in this specific episode, but series writer Michelle Perry-Brooker was kind enough to ask me to help in story consultant / story editor kind of way, so I have dipped my finger in it, even though my voice is lacking.
Don’t worry though, or do if taht’s your fancy, I will be back banging on your ear drum in no time!

Lägerelden, on the other hand, has started a new season. Season 5, no less, very impressive!
In episode 39. Det Övernaturliga #2, the theme is weird sounds, and I take on the interesting subject of sounds from the deep, i.e. sounds from the oceans. It’s a different beat than the usual fiction storytelling I usually provide for the podcast, but it’s an interesting one. Give it a go – this is, as always, in Swedish, just so you know.

Lägerelden is also moving into more use of voice acting, not just narrating, so look forward to more of this in future episodes as well. I know I’ll be playing some particularly nasty people, so look forward to that!

As the porky little pig said – that’s all, folks!
