Nilsonian Timely – 2025, issue 3

Hear ye, hear ye!

A lot of things are coming out across the board, so I figured it was about time to give you the latest low-down, see?

Brand new news first – there is talk, and this is only talk at this point, mind you, that the next project together with my good friend Tobias Enevoldsen (writer/director of Tranquilizer & Æ Lighthouse) will be – pause for effect – a feature film! There is next to nothing to say about this at this point, but I’ll get back to it once we lock in something. We still have the short film En dronning i gult (working title) in post production, so finishing that is the first priority of course.

Speaking of Tranquilizer, it is still going strong on its 10th week on the EKKO Shortlist, and with the continued support of everyone willing, it’ll hopefully make it to the maximum amount of 13 weeks!
So see it, vote for it, and make it survive another week right here:

Apart from that, I’m going to meet up with an old actor/director acquaintance of mine, Kirsten Bärnholdt, next week. She has a new stage production on the way, which I’ll be in. The plan is for a late August premiere, and then maybe touring a little bit with it. We’ll see what happens, but I’m looking forward to getting back on the stage again.

With all that said, I couldn’t possibly leave you without some podcasting news as well, now could I?

I is for Investigate has been releasing some epilogue scenes for the Dagon season, wrapping up some questions and unwinding with the crew. The latest release is in itself a two-parter, The Pub Quiz and A Whitby Walk, both of which are leaning in a more light-hearted direction than the main season. Let’s just say, someone might end up having a glass or two more than they can handle, and shenanigans ensue…

In the seriously spooky corner, we’ve got a couple of nice entries by Swedish podcast Lägerelden as well. In 27. Spökhistorier #5, I play Herbert White in the classic W. W. Jacobs weird tale The Monkey’s Paw, and in Läskiga Meddelande, I play the unnamed narrator in the creepy pasta Ett konstigt SMS. The latter is a reissue of an earlier episode, with much improved audio, and a couple of other voice actors, Anna Lampinen and Eva Lundegård, thrown in as well, so it’s well worth a revisit, or a visit if it’s your first time.

I do believe that’s all we have time for in this issue of Nilsonian Timely, but as always, you’re welcome to get (and stay) in touch. Just drop me a line in the comments section below, or through the contact page. Cheerio for now!
