Nilsonian Timely – 2024, issue 5

Hear ye, hear ye!

Happy belated Halloween everyone! I hope you all carry a bit of the ghostliness with you in your hearts, as we move even deeper into the darkest nights of the year.
To help that along, I have a bit of news for you, so read on, and then we’ll talk in the comments, yes?

Yes, kicking us straight off into darkness, I have two pieces of podcasting news for you, both of which were released on Halloween night!
So if you’ve been diligent and already listened, let me know what you thought.
In case you haven’t already heard them, this is what I’m talking about:

First off, the second season of I is for Investigate, simply called Dagon, kicked off by dropping the first episode, The Sunderland Incident.
Yes, your favourite podcasting supernatural investigative team is back, and we’re bigger and better than ever! Season two will run for ten episodes, it has a larger cast, a bigger story, and a larger production, so follow along!
If you by some chance have not checked out season one yet, The Shambler from the Stars, I’d advice you to start there. It’s a different case altogether, but you’ll be introduced to many of the players and the world they move about in, and, dare I say, be better dressed for what’s ahead…
I is for Investigate can be found on most major podcasting platforms, and I’ll share the link for Spotify below (but do hit us up elsewhere, if that’s your wish)
FULL SHOW

Secondly, Lägerelden dropped their Halloween special, named Phoebe Baxters 911 samtal (Phoebe Baxter’s 911 call)!

Contrary to how Lägerelden is usually set up, with simply a single narrator telling you each case or story, this is a fully cast dramatisation of a gruesome story, in which we follow a distressed girl and her call for help to 911. It’s all in the title, really, isn’t it?
In it, I play the role of Bobby Ray, boyfriend of Phoebe’s mother, and if you want to learn how that turns out, I guess you’ll just have to give it a listen, don’t you?

In film news, we are moving very close to production on my next collaboration with Tobias Enevoldsen (Æ Fyrtaarn, Tranquilizer).
I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to give away at this point, but it’s safe to say that we are still moving within the scope of the weird and the horrific. We’ve had a day of test shooting, which went as well as we could have hoped for, and are now ready to begin principal photography.
In returning cast from Tranquilizer, besides myself, we will see Michael Robdrup again, and introducing to our realm, though by no means a novice to acting, we’ll see Lysser Kristine Andersen! I’ve taken a few acting workshops and classes alongside her in the past, and am thrilled to be working opposite her for the first time!
Oh, and there’s also a nice easter egg cameo coming, but I’ll let you decipher that one by yourselves…

As we still are so early in the process of this, there’s precious little more I can say about it, but expect more news in the future!
